GRAFFITI is a 32 bits professional software package for image creation, manipulation, editing and retouching/photo-composition totally suited to the Unix workstation power.
Graffiti works on 16 million colors (24 bits) images with 256 transparency levels (8 bits) per pixel with no size limitations, in eight different file formats. GRAFFITI is the ideal complement of the graphics chain made up by CAMELEO, or more generally of any technical or creative software packages (Desktop Publishing, CAD, GIS...), for editing or retouching works realization.
GRAFFITI works on three distinct layers ("plates of glass"), which the images are places on, independently. This technique enables image mixing and photomontage in real time, via the Alpha-Channel management (pixels' transparency).
This multilayer approach offers a very large freedom of creativity. This is also the most user-friendly way to see the photomontage quality when mixing images.
These interchangeable layers, which can be combined and swapped make up the GRAFFITI "project".
In addition to image manipulation, GRAFFITI enables the association of its tools in order to make graphic function, in this way giving the user over 2000 funtionalities.
